What We Collect and Why

  • Account Data: Email and name to manage your account and provide our service.
  • Chat Data: Your prompts and conversation history to deliver AI responses and maintain context.
  • Content Data: Website content, images, or files you provide, processed to enable features like content creation and analysis.
  • Integration Data: When you connect X (Twitter) or Google Analytics, we access only the data necessary to provide our services (e.g., posting tweets, fetching analytics).
  • Payment Data: Billing info for subscriptions, handled securely by Stripe (we don't store card details).
  • Usage Data: Device info, IP addresses, and analytics to improve performance and security.
  • Emails: Contact details for service emails (e.g., confirmations) or marketing (if you opt-in).

Why We Process Data

  • To run our service (e.g., deliver AI responses, post to X, fetch analytics data, process payments)
  • With your permission (e.g., for marketing or optional analytics)
  • For legitimate interests like security and service improvement, only when necessary

Third-Party Integrations

When you connect third-party services to Campane:

  • X (Twitter): We access your X account only to post content on your behalf and retrieve basic account information. We store OAuth tokens securely and never access your password.
  • Google Analytics: We access your selected GA4 properties to retrieve analytics data and display it within Campane. We only access data you explicitly authorize.

You can disconnect these integrations at any time from your account settings. Disconnecting will revoke our access immediately.

Who We Share With

We use trusted service providers (subprocessors) for cloud storage, AI processing, payments, and analytics. We only share data when necessary to provide our service. We don't sell your data or use it to train AI models.

Our key service providers include:

  • OpenAI (AI processing)
  • Convex (database and backend)
  • Cloudflare R2 (file storage)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Clerk (authentication)

No AI Training on Your Data

We do not train AI models on customer data. All AI models used in our service are pre-trained and do not learn from or store your conversations, content, or integration data.

Data Storage and Location

Data is primarily stored and processed in the United States and Japan. For EEA users, we use Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure adequate data protection.

Data Retention

We delete all personal data when you close your account, except where we must retain data for legal requirements (e.g., tax records). Integration tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect a service.

Your Rights (EEA Users)

You can:

  • Access or correct your data
  • Delete your data
  • Export your data in a standard format
  • Opt out of marketing or optional analytics
  • Limit certain data uses or file a complaint with a regulator
